Art & File Prep Guidelines

We want your custom apparel and products to look incredible. Printing can only be as good as the artwork provided, and orders cannot be started until we have usable files. Please review our file requirements below before submitting your order.

The Golden Rules

  • Sizing: Your design must be sized exactly to the dimensions you want it to print.
  • Resolution: All raster artwork must be at least 300 DPI at the actual print size.
  • Format: Vector files are highly preferred. Our preferred file types are .AI, .PDF, .EPS, .PSD, .PNG, and .JPG.
  • Fonts & Text: All text must be converted to outlines or curves.

Process-Specific Details

  • Printing (Apparel, Signage & Promo): Your file must have a transparent background. Do not use a solid background (like a white box) unless you actually want that box printed as part of your design. If your design requires specific spot colors for screen printing, please label those layers or swatches clearly in your vector file.
  • Embroidery: We will need to digitize your artwork into a stitch file. Extremely small text (under 0.25″ tall) or tiny, complex details may need to be simplified so they translate well to needle and thread.

Artwork Assistance

Sometimes we can offer assistance with your artwork for free, as long as it does not require a substantial amount of time. Anything that requires more than a few minutes of art time will require an additional $25 per hour art fee (with a $25 minimum). Feel free to contact us before placing your order if you have questions about your artwork and to see if it qualifies for free assistance.

Approvals, Errors & Liability

We are not responsible for any misspellings, errors, or issues inherent in your art file, nor are we responsible for poor quality printing due to poor artwork.

We do our best to catch errors and point them out to you, but we may not catch them all. You will receive a proof before production begins. If an error is in your art file and on your approved proof, that is exactly how we will print it. Please review your proofs carefully!
